If you are interested in Legacy for future years, below are steps to follow. Because of space constraints, unfortunately, we may not be able to accept all applicants despite their qualifications. Our goal is to find committed families who fully understand and share our vision and are ready to commit.
Because this club is a significant investment of time and attention, we invite families to get acquainted with Legacy and Stoa before applying. Below is a general timeline to be aware of. Dates are subject to change.

Complete the Interest Form to indicate your interest in Legacy. During this school year, as events come up, we will send information about the following:
Local Stoa tournaments to visit. It's highly recommended that your family visit a tournament so that you get a taste of how students compete and parents serve as judges.
Open House & Visitor Day
Dates for Info Sessions that parents are required to attend before applying
Required Legacy Summer Speech Camp info
For Lincoln-Douglas debate applicants, required Summer Debate Camp info
Notification when the Application Form becomes available
Attend a Legacy Open House & Visitor Day
If you cannot make it to the Open House & Visitor Day, attend a 40-minute online Info Session. The info session is required before families fill out the application form.
May: Register for Legacy Summer Speech Camp
Early June: Attend Legacy Summer Speech Camp
The speech camp is required for students who are applying to join. A parent must attend with the student.
Application Submission: June 15 - July 15, 2027.
The application has sections for each parent and each student to fill out.
The student provides contact info for two references who are asked to fill out a simple Google Form.
Late applications will not be accepted.
Family Interviews: July 15 - July 30, 2027
Notifications of acceptance into club: Early August 2027
Legacy Summer Debate Camp: Early August
The debate camp is mandatory for new Lincoln-Douglas Debate applicants who are high school age or entering their 2nd+ year in Stoa. A parent must attend with the student.
